LAHORE – Vowing to confront conspiracies against the country at every front, the office-bearers of Nazaria-i-Pakistan Forums (NPF) in a meeting at Aiwan-e-Karkunan Tehrik-e-Pakistan have said that they are determined to protect Pakistan Ideology at any cost.

The meeting, held on Saturday, was presided over by TheNation Editor-in-Chief and Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust (NPT) Chairman Majid Nizami. Participants of the forums across the country, NPT Board of Governors and members of Advisory Council paid glowing tribute to the nationalistic services of the veteran editor and reposed full confidence in his leadership.

Those who attended the meeting included NPT Vice-Chairman Prof Dr Rafique Ahmed, Pakistan Movement Workers’ Trust Chairman Jamshed Ahmed Tareen, Begum Majida Wyne, PML-N Sindh President Syed Ghous Ali Shah, PML-Q General Secretary Mushahid Hussain Syed, senior journalist Syed Faseeh Iqbal, Prof Ataur Rehman, Dr MA Soofi, Naeem Hussain Chattah, Col (r) Ikram Ullah, Let Gen (r) Abdul Quyum, Allama Ashgar Ali Warraich, Prof Muzaffar Mirza, Shahid Rasheed, Rafaqat Riaz and others.

Majid Nizami welcomed the participants especially those who came from far-flung areas to attend the meeting. He said the NPT was a gift for the nation from former Punjab chief minister late Ghulam Haider Wyne. Due to the contribution of friends, the Trust has now turned into a powerful institution which was spreading Pakistan Ideology among the country’s youth. Referring the statement of ANP leader Ghulam Ahemd Bilour in which the Railways Minster suggested the confederation among India, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh, Majid Nizami said such person was not worthy to sit in the parliament and demanded of the President to get rid of him (Bilour). The NPT Chairman, on the occasion, praised Nawaz Sharif for making Pakistan an atomic power. There might be many weaknesses in PML-N President but his courage to stand before the US at the time when Pakistan test-fired atomic weapons would never be forgotten, he added.

Majid Nizami highlighted the need to continue the mission of spreading awareness among the people and especially the youth about Pakistan Ideology. There was need to inform the youth about the sacrifices rendered by our elders for the creation of Pakistan, he urged upon the gathering. He also stressed the need to make Pakistan according to the vision of Quaid-e-Azam. Those who termed Quaid a secular person were actually making false propaganda, he held.

Dr Rafique said the NPFs were a national movement under the banner of NPT for creating awareness among the masses about the country. He asked the forums’ representatives to actively send performance reports so that those could be published in Trust’s weekly and monthly reviews.

Syed Faseeh said Balochistan was under a world conspiracy and if the government did not resolve the problems facing the people of the province, the unrest would further increase. Mushahid Hussain said that the US considered China a great thereat for its supremacy in the world and was trying to bring India before it. Now the balance of power was turning from West to Asia and we have to further enhance our relations with China, he held. He said Quaid -e-Azam was a leader with visionary approach about strategic issues, he felt the need to organise a series of lectures on the multidimensional qualities of the Founder of Pakistan.

Ghous Ali believed the splitting of Muslim League resulted in the separation of country in 1971. He said the unity among the various factions of the Muslim League could bring in the country.
