LALAMUSA

The eleven water filtration plants being set up at a cost of Rs1.10 billion in Lalamusa and Dinga towns have been left incomplete and the contractors have disappeared whereas the people are suffering for drinkable water. The last government allocated Rs1.10 billion to set up 8 water filtration plants at Lalamusa and three at Dinga towns. But the contractor has disappeared leaving the projects incomplete. A few of these water filtration plants have been fitted with water taps, other sanitary gadgets but are still non-functional. The people are concerned about the inordinate delay in completion of these projects. The local people have urged the authorities concerned to look into the matter and provide relief for them regarding provision of potable water in the areas.
