A large number of angry activists of JUP accompanied by hundreds of residents of Pind Sultani, Domel and surrounding localities kept Pindi-Kohat Road blocked for second consecutive day against JUP District General Secretary Daud Mustafai killing. They set ablaze the house of the main accused and the Mithial Police check-post and shouted slogans against the inefficiency of Attock Police to arrest the killers. However, the police authorities claimed that seven alleged killers had been arrested while the rest would be arrested soon. As per details, the angry protestors after offering funeral of JUP district general secretary Daud Mustafai, who was killed the other day, placed the dead body in an ambulance and started protest on Kohat-Pindi Road. Hundreds of protestors were demanding the arrest of the killers. Keeping the road block, they shouted slogans against police for its failure to protect honour and property of the masses. They set ablaze the house and office of Sardar Ameer who as per the JUP activists is the main accused involved in the murder of Daud Mustafai. Later, MNA Malik Aetbar Khan and Attock DPO held negotiations with the protesters on the issue. Later, the protesters dispersed on the assurance of DPO Abdul Qadir Qamar that the alleged killers would be arrested soon. On the occasion, the irate activists warned that if the killers were not arrested they would again start massive protest on Friday.Later Daud Mustafai was laid to rest. Meanwhile, when contacted the police authorities told this reporter that 16 alleged killers had been booked of whom seven including Abdul Ghafoor, Shakeel, Sabir, Saqib, Shafique, Rafique and Mumtaz had been arrested while raids continued to capture the others. DPO Abdul Qadir Qamar told this scribe that the Pind Sultani Police-Post Incharge had been suspended while four teams headed by DSP had been constituted to arrest the alleged criminals. He said that the land dispute was under trial in Civil Court and the accused party violated the stay order which triggered the sad incident.
