ISLAMABAD (APP) Necessary measures are underway to upgrade the Capital Development Authority (CDA) hospital in line with the modern technology. Official sources told this news agency that CDA would ensure availability of medical treatment and medicines to the residents of the Federal Capital. He said that the authority was already working on the plan for up-gradation of the Capital Hospital. Emergency services will be improved and professionally skilled experts would be inducted in the medical team of the Capital Hospital, he added. He said that Capital Hospital is already catering to the needs of general population of Islamabad besides the CDA employees. He said that the hospital 27 years ago in the shape of a dispensary, over the period of time, has been developed as third major hospital of the city. He said that besides the CDA employees, this hospital is providing health facilities to the employees of fourteen (14) other government departments along with general population of Islamabad. He said that under the guidance of Chairman CDA, they are in the process of up-gradation and many new facilities and state of the art equipment is being installed in the hospital to bring it at par with two major hospitals of the city. An Oxygen plant of its own, the first ever in any hospital of Islamabad, is being installed in the Capital Hospital. He said that different services including wards and departments, including emergency department, X-ray Department, and Capital Ambulance, Rescue and Emergency Services (CARES) Centre. Meanwhile, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) would start small tourists trains and kids rides at different recreational spots of the federal capital, which aim to entertain tourists particularly children. The Authority would invite proposals and suggestions from the public about ticketing prices and further improve the facilities, spokesman of CDA, Mustafain Kazmi told on Monday. He said that last date for public suggestions is November 21 where people can send their suggestions about new services. The spokesman said initially the coloured trains will run at Fatima Jinnah Women Park, F-9 and Lake View Park. Mustafain Kazmi said these small trains and rides would be functional by mid December this year.
