KARACHI - Awami National Party (ANP) Sindh President Shahi Syed said on Sunday that the ANPs struggle for the elimination of extremist elements would continue. He said the Pukhtoon community rendered unforgettable sacrifices in the war against terror. He said that the nation had united to defeat foreign conspiracies against the country. He paid rich tributes to those martyred in the war on terror. He applauded the sacrifices of ANP workers against extremists in the terror war in Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa, saying that the sacrifices of ANP activist Yar Zameen Khan was a milestone for other party workers. He recalled that Zameen Khan had foiled a terror bid when extremists tried to kill ANP President Asfand Yar Wali in a suicide attack on October 2, 2008. He warned aggressors not to attack Pakistan, saying they would have to face 180 million people like Yar Zameen Khan in the country, who would not allow them to succeed in their indiscriminate aims. Nevertheless, the ANP Sindh organised a Quran Khawani for late Yar Zameen Khan and other martyrs of the ANP.
