KARACHI- The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Coordination Committee has expressed grave concerns over the ongoing spell of loadshedding in the country and termed the prevailing energy crisis a nightmare. The long hour power outages have made the life of the common man miserable and have ruined the industrial activity in the country. The committee said that the constant rise in electricity tariff on one hand and deepening power crisis on the other was gross injustice with the masses. It was high time that the government formulated solid policies for improving the condition of the public and resolving energy and power crises, it added. The Coordination Committee said that the menace of loadshedding had been present in the country for many years, but it was unfortunate that no serious efforts were made to solve the problem. The committee demanded President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani to take steps on war-footing for ameliorating the energy and power crises in the country.
