ZURICH (AFP) - Oscar-winning director Roman Polanski says he has regretted having illegal relations with a teenage girl in 1977 ever since, in his first interview since spending months in a Swiss prison over the sensational case. "I have regretted it for 33 years, of course I regret it," the Franco-Polish filmmaker told Swiss television channel TSR, or Television suisse-romande. The full interview will be aired on Sunday. Polanski pleaded guilty to having unlawful relations with the 13-year-old girl. He was initially charged with six felony counts, including rape and sodomy, but the charges were later reduced under a plea deal made in part to spare the teen the ordeal of a trial.
