The Anti Narcotics Force has foiled an attempt of smuggling heroin from Sialkot International Airport to Dubai and Holland and arrested two persons including Inspector Rana Basharat Ali of ASF.

The other person was identified as Khushi Muhammad, a resident of Lahore. Senior ANF officials told newsmen that the accused inspector provided 2.5 kgs fine quality packed in special pads, which he had tied with his body and he provided the quantity of the heroin to the accused smuggler Khushi Muhammad who was sitting in the lounge of the Sialkot International Airport at about 04:30am.

Khushi Muhammad had planned to smuggle the heroin to Dubai and then Holland from Dubai through the flight of UAE based airline namely “Fly Dubai” here. ANF officials checked and arrested them besides besieging heroin. ANF foiled this major attempt of smuggling heroin from Sialkot International Airport to Dubai and them Holland, the ANF officials added.

Khushi Muhammad told the ANF officials that he had struck a secret deal of Rs0.8 million with the accused inspector who got cleared the heroin by tying specially made pads with his body and he remained successful in averting the checking.

The worth of the seized fine quality heroin was stated to be millions of rupees. The ANF has registered a case against both the accused and sent them behind the bars.

In Hafizabad, the city police raided three different places in the city and arrested a male and two female drug peddlers and seized 1,180 grams heroin from their possession.

On a tip off, the city police have raided Mohallah Sherpura and arrested Tahira Bibi and seized 320 grams heroin from her possession.

The police also raided Mohallah Misri Khan and arrested Bushra Begum and have seized 209 grams heroin from her possession. Later the police party also raided Mohallah Qadirabad and have arrested Muhammad Shahbaz and recovered 570 grams heroin from his possession.
