Orient donates for earthquake victims

LAHORE (PR): Under the banner of Firdous Fazal Welfare Trust, Orient has taken the initiative to help the victims of the earthquake by donating 2000 Rashan Packs. Firdous Fazal Welfare Trust has always been a forerunner in helping the communities, and in times of natural disasters and calamities the Trust has always stepped forward to play a constructive role. BNU seminar on World Alzheimer’s month

LAHORE (PR): Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive degenerative brain syndrome which effects memory, thinking, behavior and emotions. September 2013 marks the second global World Alzheimer’s Month, an international campaign to raise awareness and challenge stigma.The Institute of Psychology (IP) at Beaconhouse National University (BNU) commemorated the “World Alzheimer’s Month” in collaboration with Alzheimer’s Pakistan by held a seminar on Alzheimer September 30, 2013.

Patron-in-Chief of Alzheimer’s Pakistan and Board Member Alzheimer’s Disease International, Professor Dr. Yasmeen Rashid graced the occasion as the key-note speaker followed by Syed Hussain Jafri, Secretary General, Alzheimer’s Pakistan.

Khadija gets award

ISLAMABAD (PR): The president of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain awarded Khadija Mushtaq, CEO, Roots Ivy International Schools as the ‘Best Woman Entrepreneur of the year 2013’ in recognition for her work as the best woman entrepreneur and leading educationist in Pakistan at RCCI ’s Achievement Award Ceremony.

Waster Busters honoured

LAHORE (PR): The International Waste Working Group, Italy (IWWG) has selected the Clean Pakistan Project, presented by Waste Busters Chief Executive Officer Asif Farooki, as the most sustainable low-cost solution of waste management in the developing countries at the 14th International Symposium on ‘waste management and landfills’ held in Sardinia, Italy. Asif Farooki said that the project, launched by Waste Busters in Pakistan, has been spread into many cities of Pakistan.
