ISLAMABAD - Senator Syed Dilawar Abbas, who is also vice president of the Asian Tennis Fedration (ATF), was elected as the chairman of the finance and administration committee of the ATF.

Talking to The Nation after his return from Iran on Wednesday, Dilawar Abbas said: “PTF president Dr Syed Kaleem Imam will continue his role as the ATF constitution committee chairman and Ahmed Jamal Mirza has been given chairpersonship of the Asian senior tennis committee.”

He said the elections were held on September 29 in Tehran in which delegates and representatives from more than 25 countries across Asia participated. He said that the ATF was a growing tennis body and he was fully committed to promote it in other countries of the world.

“I will leave no stone unturned and use all my experience while trying to convince the ATF and International Tennis Federations (ITF) to allocate matches to Pakistan,” Dilawar concluded.
