LAHORE Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Asifs ex-girlfriend, actress-model Veena Malik was questioned by the International Cricket Council (ICC) officials in connection with the latest match-fixing scandal involving members of the Pakistan cricketers. According to a spokesman of Veena, she has handed over evidence to Hasan Reza, an officials of the ICCs Anti-Corruption Unit for South Asia. Actress-model reported to have said that the bowler have links with bookies. Veena accused Asif of being a serial match-fixer and claimed he had links with an Indian bookie. The official met Veena at her residence last evening after she alleged that Asif was involved in match-fixing and she had ample proof of this. There were media reports said that she had handed over Asifs voice recordings with the bookie and some other related information to the ICC official. From head to toe, Pakistani players and officials are involved in match-fixing. I had gone with Asif to Bangkok before Pakistans tour of Australia. Asif told me he was offered USD 40,000 by an Indian bookie to under-perform in Australia but he demanded USD 200,000, the television quoted Veena. The Pakistan Cricket Board had evidence of this but no action was taken against him, she said. In another interview to a private news channel, she had said that Indian photojournalist Dheeraj Dikshit called 17 times to Asif before Australia series to under-perform . Malik told ICC officials that Dikshit set the stage for Asif in match-fixing.
