ICC Chief Executive Haroon Lorgat said that the suspension of the trio Pakistani players is part of the investigation process of the betting scam. 'Police are grilling the trio, Lorgat told mediamen during a press briefing. During a press conference, Lorgat said 'we should ensure integrity of the sports and we will not tolerate corruption in cricket. He maintained that complete evidence has been gathered before charging the players with betting. He said that spot-fixing is not widespread. Lorgat ruled out any targeted conspiracy against Pakistan. Sir Ronnie Flanagan, head of anti-corruption unit of ICC, said that criminal investigations are underway to ascertain the involvement of trio in the betting scam, adding that there are various charges on them.
