LONDON-Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday made it clear that his party did not believe in 'deal politics', saying: 'We do politics for safeguarding national interests'. In an excusive chat with The Nation at Heathrow Airport, he said, 'we are united on PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif's stance that rule of law is must for country's survival. Only rule of law can guarantee country's progress and elimination of poverty'. 'We are ready to accept every decision taken by Nawaz Sharif. We signed Charter of Democracy in which framework for repeal of 17th Amendment, restoration of judiciary to pre-November 2 position and method of judges appointments were decided', he said, adding: 'we are every time ready to discuss these issues with PPP'. Talking about PML-N alliance with PML-Q, he said for forming an alliance, there should be some base and framework. Alliance should be formed within the limits of ideological commitments, he added. 'We formed an alliance with PPP for repeal of 17th Amendment and restoration of judiciary but unfortunately, we have to part ways with PPP. 'If we had been in coalition govt with PPP in the Centre, than people would have been justified in saying that we have done political adjustment. But era of such political adjustments should come to an end forever', he said. He said he had come to London on a private visit to inquire after the health of his nephew Hasan Nawaz and he had no official duty to perform here. Earlier, Shahbaz Sharif alongwith MNA Khawaja Asif was received at Heathrow Airport by PML-N London chapter President Zubair Gul, Secretary General Javed Iqbal, Raja Muhammad Zarif, Ch Muhammad Arif, Munawar Iqbal, Nasir Mehmood Butt, Malik Fateh and a large number of party activists.
