ISLAMABAD – Former Islamabad Football Association (IFA) president Syed Sharafat Hussain Bukhari Tuesday appealed to Prime Minister Mian M Nawaz Sharif to make special audit of all accounts of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) for the last 11 years aimed at saving the game from total failure. He said the PFF had spent around Rs 2 billion during the 11-year leadership of Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat, however, the football team’s performance witnessed declined and was placed on 8th position in South Asia, 42nd in Asia and 190th internationally. “The PFF has been spending millions of rupees on salaries of employees, local and foreign trips and other privileges. The FIFA and AFC grants which are to be spent on coaches, women and youth programmes have been misused.”
