LAHORE - Secretary Health Punjab Jawwad Rafiq Malik has directed the district administrations across the province to continue anti measles campaign even on holidays including Kashmir Day on February 5 and coming Sunday (Feb 8) to ensure achievement of set targets.

Chairing a meeting to review ongoing anti measles campaign, he said the government had allocated sufficient resources and now it was responsibility of the officials to achieve at least 95 per cent coverage. Over 28.5 million children will be administered measles vaccines across the province.

 The Chief Minister Road Map team also gave presentation on the performance indicators for all the districts. Challenges related to the campaign and other management issues were also discussed.  

DG Health Dr Zahid Pervaiz urged EDOs to strictly follow the stipulated SOPs, especially those relating to AEFI medicines. Director EPI Dr Munir Ahmed urged the EDOs to ensure proper monitoring of activities in their respective areas.
