RAWALPINDI - The management of a government-run school in Dhoke Hassu on Tuesday rang alarm bells after getting information about the presence of a suspected lady in the school, sources informed The Nation.

A heavy contingent of police and personnel of other law enforcement agencies rushed to the educational institution and took the suspected lady into custody for further investigation, sources added.

According to sources, the management of Government Girls School, Dhoke Hassu informed officials of Police Station (PS) Ratta Amral that a suspected lady has entered into the school. Police and personnel of other LEAs reached at the school and cordoned off the locality. The arrested lady later identified as Shehnaz wife of Sheraz. The news panicked the locals and managements of all the other schools have beefed up security of schools and colleges. A large numbers of parents also arrived to inquire about the condition of their daughters studying in the school, sources told.

A senior police officer, seeking anonymity, confirmed the arrest of the lady and said that the lady entered in the school and met with principal and requested her to recruit her as teacher as she wanted to teach the female students. He added that the suspicious activities of the lady scared the principal who immediately informed police. Within no time, police reached at the scene and nabbed the lady. During investigation, the high rank officer, said that it was suggested that the lady was mentally upset. The police brought the lady to District Headquarters Hospital for medical treatment, he informed.
