KARACHI - As many as five people were killed in different mishaps in the City on Saturday. A youth was accidentally killed when the aerial firing at a wedding ceremony went wrong. The incident took place at Bhains Colony in the limits of Sukkun police. Police said the deceased identified as Nasir Khan 27, S/O Sabir Khan was a resident of Badia Town. He was attending a wedding ceremony at Football Ground Bhains Colony, where some participants restored to aerial firing and one bullet hit Nasir, due to which he died on the spot. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), where the family took away his body without completing legal formalities. No case was registered. In another incident, a security guard was killed by his own gun under mysterious circumstance. The incident took place at Civic Centre Parking in the precincts of New Town Police. Police said, the deceased Ahmed 21, s/o Ashraf was resident of Liaquatabad. He was at his duty in VIP Parking of Civic Centre when his gun went off and he died on the spot. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities and later handed over to the family. Besides, two men were drowned while picnicking at Hawksbay in the jurisdiction of Docks Police. According to police, the deceased brothers Danish 20 and Irfan 28, sons of Ghulam Muhammad were residents of New Karachi. They drowned while picnicking at Hawksbay Beach. The body of Irfan was recovered by rescue workers and shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi. The other body could not be found till the filing of this story. In another incident of mishap, a 40-year-old man died in a fall from a passenger bus at Chiragh Hotel in the limits of Zaman Town police. Police official said the victim identified as Kashif was a resident of Sector 5 Landhi. Police shifted the body JPMC.
