LAHORE Hajveri Juices Lahore Guards and Fazal Sweets Lahore Kings defeated their respective rivals in the Lahore Premier League (LPL) here on Saturday. Hajveri Juices Lahore Guards beat Mega Events Lahore Stars by 49 runs at the LCCA ground. Lahore Guards made 354 in 50 overs with Abid Ali scoring impressive 110 and Hamza brilliant 104 while Usman Hameed made 57. Saeedullah Ghauri four for 71 while Zeeshan Shabir and Farooq Bhatti had one each. In reply, Lahore Stars could manage 305 runs. Zeeshan 68, Saadullah 66 and Mohsin Saleh 48. Mohammad Irshad and Mohammad Nazir took two wickets for 59 and 72 runs respectively. Hamza Mubeen was declared the man of the match. In the second match, Fazal Sweets Lahore Kings moved past RBS Lahore Cubs by one wicket at the Race Course Ground. Lahore Cubs made 198 for all. Salman Rahat 54, Ali Naik 38 and Waqas Tariq 34. Kashif Hussain four for 41, Ashraf Ali three for 43 and Mohammad two for 39. In reply, Lahore Kings achieved the score losing nine wickets. Agha Salman 80 not out and Kamran Khalil 32. Salman Rahat three for 38, Waqas Tarif two for 29 and Hafiz Salman had one. Agha Salman was adjudged the man of the match. Earlier, Bank Alfalah Lahore Blues and Lahore Tigers won their respective matches. Lahore Blues beat Lahore Stags by 142 runs. Lahore Blues made 311 for all. Sunny Irshad 78, Faisal Javed 49 and Mohammad Tariq 35. Ammad Aftab three for 35, Mohammad Tanveer two for 46 and Qasim Zia two for 61. In reply, Lahore Stag could make 169. Muntazar Mahdi 29, Qasim Zia 25 and Imran Haider 22. Khawaja Adil four for 32, Mateen Ijaz three for 26, Faizal Javed two for 12. Sunny was given the man of the match. In the other match, Lahore Tigers defeated Best Juices Lahore Dragons by 16 runs. Lahore Tigers got 252 runs on board. Junaid Zia 64, Wahidur Rehman 42. Irfan Zaman three for 38, Asim Butt two for 45. In reply, Lahore Dragons could manage 236. Ahmed Dar 67, Tasleem Arif 60 and Rizwan Yousuf 21.
