LAHORE - Loud slogans against President Asif Zardari and the PPP government were raised on the arrival of Fauzia Wahab, PPP Central Information Secretary in Data Darbar on Saturday. However these slogans were countered by PPP leaders and workers on the occasion by hurling slogans against Chief Minister Punjab. The strong anti PPP led government sloganeering by the people in and around Data Darbar forced Fauzia Wahab to leave the site in hurry without talking in detail with the journalists. As the people in and outside Data Darbar premises learnt the arrival of Fauzia Wahab they began to shout slogans against the government and President Zardari. After she left the premises the protestors got divided into two groups one hurling slogans against Zardari and the other against Shahbaz Sharif. While talking to media men, Fauzia Wahab strongly condemned terrorists acts on Data Darbar and said the whole nation is mourning over the incident. She underscored the need of forging unity to fight terrorism and rout terrorists in the country. She said the perpetrators of Data Darbar terrorism act must be unveiled. She said the government was resolute on rooting out terrorism in the country. Meanwhile, PPP Lahore chapter Secretary Information Malik Azhar Ali Mughal, Deputy Secretary Information Rana Farooq Ashraf and others has reacted strongly to the sloganeering against President Asif Zardari on the occasion of visit of Fauzia Wahab to Data Darbar. They said politicians doing politics on the basis of fake degrees have ignored the manners of hospitality and now they are out to pollute situation in the City. On the other hand, PML-N MNA Khwaja Saad Rafiq has taken serious exception to the slogans by the PPP workers at Data Darbar against Chief Minister Punjab and asked the Party leadership to apologise within two days over this act otherwise consequences would rest on it. He blamed the PPP for igniting a situation in the province without realising its fallouts.
