LAHORE - The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) organised two-day training workshop on dengue prevention and control for its field staff at its head office on Tuesday.

The objective of the workshop was to train and sensitize officials and its field staff so that they can work effectively in the field.  Rafique Jatoi (Manager Business Development LWMC) and Sohail Anwar Malik (Manager Operations) headed training session. Participants were given presentation on the measures needed to be adopted for combating dengue epidemic on individual as well as community level.  Question and answers and mock sessions were also held, coordinated by Deputy Manager Fahad Aslam and Assistant Managers Saba Sadiq and Hassan Khalid. The workshop included easy-to-understand illustrations, informational literature targeting general public aiming at imparting awareness about dengue symptoms.  At the end of workshop Sohail Anwar said that the Company would conduct these kinds of workshops in future as well for the counseling of field workers.
