ISLAMABAD - The very next day after taking charge as Secretary Ministry Water and Power, Nargis Sethi on Tuesday banned station travel of all Chief Executive Officers of power distribution companies for three months.

According to her office, this strict action was taken to ensure availability of the top officials at their offices, so that electricity loadshedding could be managed according to the instructions.

However, according to officials, this order is not implementable for the officers who had taken her prior permission.

The subordinate staff of the Discos will also remain present on their stations and they can only move with prior approval of concerned Chief Executive Officers. Sethi passed these orders via video link meeting with Disco chiefs. Sethi also directed the Discos to focus on their customer services and make it efficient. She said that all customer service centers must be operational by evening today.
