ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was given a briefing on Pakistan's Nuclear Power Programme by Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission at the PM House here on Tuesday.

Matters relating to K2 and K3 power projects as well as future projects which are being planned came under discussion on the occasion.

The Prime Minister said that provision of funds for these projects would be arranged in line with the NPP Vision 2050.

He said the government is taking all possible measures for meeting energy shortage in the country including nuclear energy.

Minister for Defence, Khawaja Muhammad Asif; Minister for Finance, Muhammad Ishaq Dar; Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Rashad Mahmood and DG Strategic Plans Division (SPD) were present during the meeting.


INP adds: The Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Rashad Mahmood called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the PM House on Tuesday. They discussed matters pertaining to national and regional security situation.
