Islamabad (PR) - Roots Ivy International School and College, DHA-1 campus, in collaboration with IIEU Euro Asia Institute held an exclusive seminar to encourage students to study in Germany, said a press release issued here on Tuesday.

The event was open not only to the Roots students and their parents but also to the public in general. Khadija Mushtaq, CEO Roots Ivy International School and College inaugurated the event by welcoming the guests. She shared that the vision and philosophy of global education being offered exclusively at the doorstep of Roots Ivy International through extensive guidance and counselling making Roots Ivy International one of its kind educational institution in the nation. She highlighted the success of last year’s undergraduate and summer school programs in Germany. She extended her utmost gratitude to the esteemed speakers, Andrew Geddes, Director of Eurasia, and his wife.

Andrew Geddes introduced Germany as a centre of tradition, modernity and innovation. He gave the attendees a vivid insight into the student and professional life in Germany, giving details of various educational institutes and the courses they offer.

He said, ‘Studying in Germany will not only enable students to gain education and skill but also acquire invaluable professional experience offered by most universities in the form of field placements, internships etc.’ He informed the students that German universities offer an extensive range of programs apart from the traditional engineering, medicine and dentistry courses. Students can pursue their education in Germany without having to pay any tuition fee, given that they learn the German language.

Andrew informed the guests that German taxpayers are required to pay for the education of all students in most German universities and the government aims to have 350,000 students on board from all over the world by 2020.

Roots Ivy International College/ DHA-1 campus offers an extensive German language course to all students enabling them to qualify to study in prestigious German universities. Numerous students from Roots Ivy International College/ DHA-1 campus have mastered the German language in the O/A levels program and are now currently studying in Germany.

Thirty-six Rootsians enrolled in top German universities in 2014 and over sixty students went for the summer school program last July. Roots Ivy International College/ DHA-1 campus offers full time German language professor, Jullian Hope along with a counsellor for the German Program, Saleema Sajid, are available to welcome all queries regarding each child’s educational prospects in Germany. This year’s summer school program includes schooling in Berlin, Paris and Venice.
