The Young Doctors Association (YDA) on Tuesday observed a complete strike at District Headquarter Hospital and took out a rally to press the government accept their demand for implementation of service structure, pay raise and recruitment through Punjab Public Service Commission.

On the occasion, the YDA leaders declared that the young doctors would be compelled to go on strike across the province if the Punjab government failed to fulfil their just demands. Meanwhile, all doctors at DHQ Hospital participated in the YDA rally which commenced from hospital. The participants of the rally were carrying banners inscribed with their demands and were shouting slogans against the undue and inordinate delay in the government response to their repeated requests. They claimed that the government had adopted delaying tactics to implement their demands including service structure, pay raise and recruitment through the Punjab Public Service Commission.
