LAHORE - A couple of untoward incidents could not be used to discredit the splendid history of women participation in the political activities of Pakistan Tehreek Insaf, claimed the party’s women wing president yesterday.

During a press conference at PTI secretariat, Munaza Hassan alleged that a nexus between the goons in Punjab police and local administration resulted in an ugly incident during May 1 party gathering at Chairing Cross.

The drive for thorough investigations into Panama Papers has irked the ruling party so much that it resorted to cheap tactics to discredit PTI, she further claimed.

“The ruling party, PML-N, has no history of catering to their women workers in the huge public gathering, rather it does not tolerate their presence in the political sphere,” the PTI leader said.
