ISLAMABAD  - Current monsoon spell has increased water level in Simly and Khan Pur dams and the current water reduced level was raised to 2,280 feet and 1,820 feet per day in Simly Dam and Rawal dams respectively.

Director Public Relations, Capital Development Authority (CDA), Masood-ur-Rehman Khan stated that Simly Dam would be filled to its maximum capacity (2305 feet) till the end of the rainy season.

Talking to this agency here on Monday he said, after the improved water situation in both the reservoirs the authority has increased discharged level for the capital to meet its required demand of the city administration.

“The discharge water level has been increased to 24 million gallon per day from 20 million gallon from Simly Dam and eight million gallon per day from seven million gallon from Khan Pur Dam after raising water level”.
