MIRPUR (AJK) - Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed on Tuesday sacked two ministers of his cabinet belonging to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), after he had given them an ultimatum of 72 hours to dissociate themselves from Altaf Hussain over his repeated anti-state speeches, it was officially declared.

The MQM ministers who were Tahir Khokhar and Muhammad Salim Butt.

The AJK prime minister has formally approved the orders of the removal of both MQM ministers from his cabinet, says an official statement issued by the PM Secretariat of PPP-led AJK government in Muzaffarabad on Tuesday.

The prime minister accorded this approval by using his powers under sub section 3 of the section 14 of the Act - 1974, the Interim Constitution of AJK, it added.

Reportedly, Tahir Khokher had refused to obey 72-hour ultimatum of AJK prime minister to declare their (MQM ministers) dissociation from MQM chief Altaf Hussain’s repeated anti-Pakistan speeches.

The AJK prime minister has announced to stage protest demonstrations against the MQM chief on August 6. The minister had rejected prime ministers ultimatum.
