LAHORE - The launching ceremony of a book titled "Mulakatain Kia Kia!" written by veteran journalist and columnist Altaf Hassan Qureshi was held at Governor's House here Thursday. 

The book is based on a collection of interviews of prominent personalities like Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto (1966) and Sheikh Mujeeb-ur-Rehman (1969) which are worth reading.

Mr Qureshi had also interviewed Zia ul Haq, Shah Faisal and Suleman Demirel of Turkey. 

Interviews of prominent personalities like Justice A R Cornelius, Justice S A Rehman, Justice Hamood-ur-Rehman, Chaudhary Muhammad Ali, Maulvi Tameezuddin, Maulana Zafar Ahmad Ansari, Hakeem Muhammad Saeed, Ghulam Rasool Mehr, A K Brohi, Khan of Kalat, Asghar Khan and S M Zafar are also a part of the book.                                        

Provincial ministers, Zakia Shahnawaz,Ayesha Ghous Pasha, senior lawyer S.M Zafar, VC Punjab University Dr Mujahid Kamran, senior columnists, Mujib-ur-Rehman Shami, Zia Shahid, Saeed Asi, Irshad Arif and author of the book Altaf Hassan Qureshi were also present on the occasion. 

Addressing the ceremony, Governor Punjab Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana, who was the chief guest on the occasion, said that it was a pleasant surprise to see.  

While acknowledging the efforts of the writer Altaf H Qureshi, Punjab Governor hoped that he would continue his efforts to educate younger generations by highlighting traditions of the country.  He said that politics should be focused on serving the country and the nation, adding,"Pakistan is on a takeoff position, so every politician should do positive politics for the sake of motherland and national interests.

 Rajwana said,"I believe that every political party and its leaders must learn from history and work for welfare of the people, and then turn to people's court in elections on the basis of their performance".  He said that political agenda should not clash with national agenda, and politics of protests against the personalities do not favour any nation in general.
