LAHORE - A young man was found shot in the head outside the police training centre in Manwan area yesterday.

The victim was named by police as 28-year-old Muhammad Usman, a resident of Gulberg. The body was moved to the morgue for autopsy.

Investigators said the man was lying dead near the boundary wall of the Manawan police training centre when they reached the crime scene. Some passersby spotted the body and informed a policeman who was on duty nearby.

A police official claimed that the deceased had a criminal history. According to Manawan station house officer, the deceased was wanted to the police in more than 35 incidents of heinous crimes. The SHO said that the alleged robber was shot thrice in the head.

Police say they believe the robber was murdered by his unidentified accomplices over some dispute. However, no murder case was registered yet. The police were investigating the killing.
