Islamabad - The Election Commission of Pakistan on Tuesday announced to withhold election symbols of thirty political parties including Jammat-e-Islami Pakistan and Pakistan Muslim League for their failure to submit details of their expenses on election campaign during general elections 2018.

The ECP had issued notices to all the political parties registered with it to submit details of their expenses of election campaign including finance and contributions by the donors. Only forty six political parties had failed to comply with the ECP directives, and were later issued second notice last month.

However out of forty six fourteen political parties have submitted details of their expenses while thirty have failed to submit.

The ECP on Tuesday decided to withhold election symbols of such parties which have failed to submit details of their expenses incurred on the election campaign during the general elections held in July.
