LAHORE (PR) - The leaders of all political parties and the Government of Pakistan and the members of the National Assembly and Senate of Pakistan were appealed to get passed pending Bill on Industrial Relations Law from the National Assembly and Senate of Pakistan to protect and defined the Fundamental Rights of Freedom of Association of the union guaranteed under Article 17-A of Constitutional of Pakistan prior the expiry of Industrial

Relations Ordinance 2011 on March 17, 2012. In case, the legislators failed to perform their constitutional obligation to pass the said important legislation within the time which allow the workers to form their nation-wide trade union and federations to promote their unity defeating the bases upon the ethnic and parochial and religious divisive forces, it would be termed as Anti-Labour Act.

This demand was raised through a resolution in an important meeting held on Saturday under the aegis of Pakistan Workers Confederation Punjab Chapter presided over Fazal Ahmad Khan. Khurshid Ahmad, General Secretary of Confederation speaking on the occasion condemned the anti labour policies of the government giving rise to sky-rocketing price-hike including rise in petrol price, raising serious gas and electricity loadshedding making million of workers jobless.
