LAHORE – A 65-year-old security guard was shot dead by dacoits in Gulshan-e-Ravi police area on Saturday. Police investigators said that unidentified armed dacoits forcibly entered into Tauheed Housing Society in the wee hours on Saturday where they were intercepted by a security guard Aziz over suspicious movements. “We have learned the dacoits snatched his pump action and sprayed a bullet, which pierced into his mouth as a result of which he died on the spot,” police said, adding an FIR has been lodged against unidentified dacoits with no arrest till filing of this report. The body has been removed to the City morgue for autopsy. Further investigations are underway.

INJURED MAN DIES: A 40-year-old man, who had sustained critical injuries in a road accident couple of days back, died at the General Hospital on Saturday. The deceased was a motor mechanic by profession. He was hit by a speeding vehicle near General Hospital and was shifted to the Emergency Department where he died on Saturday. Meanwhile, a youth, an advocate by profession, suffered an electric shock during the preparation of Eid Milad-ul-Nabi (PBUH) in Lohari Gate police area.
