Karachi - Fashion Pakistan, the country’s leading platform for fashion designers, is pleased to announce the dates for the Fashion Pakistan Week Winter/Festive 2015. The event will be held in Karachi on 28th, 29th, and 30th November 2015, in collaboration with Urdu1 as the exclusive event and media partner.

Fashion Pakistan has a long tradition of holding bi-annual fashion weeks, having pioneered the concept of Fashion Weeks in Pakistan with the very first Fashion Pakistan Week, held in 2010. Since then, the Council has continually looked to new ways to support and bolster Pakistan’s growing fashion industry.

This year will be no different, as FP looks to extend the outlines of what constitutes Fall/Winter fashion. Winter in Pakistan represents an array of festivities, weddings, winter balls, and a general mood of celebration. Previously known as the Autumn Winter show, this year’s FPW Winter Festive promises to showcase all the colours of Pakistani festive wear, ranging from luxury prêt, to bridals and formal wear.

This year also marks Fashion Pakistan’s first collaboration with Urdu1, an Urdu language international channel which is one of the top sources of quality Urdu entertainment in Pakistan.  URDU1 is owned and operated by Alliance Media FZ-LLC and its broadcasts became available in Pakistan in June 2012. The channel has a strong commitment to creativity and aesthetics, and is the channel of choice across Pakistan.  URDU1's foray into the world of Fashion adds another opportunity to raise the bar and it is all set to mark its niche in the fashion industry with creative ideas that the trendsetting channel is famed for.

Mr. Faraz Ansari, CEO of Urdu 1’s parent company Alliance Media, said, “Urdu1 is delighted to be supporting Fashion Pakistan as its event and media partner for the Fashion Pakistan Week Winter Festive. We are extremely proud to be partnering with the Council on what is sure to be an incredible event.
