The Pakistani modeling industry is extremely competitive. Over a time it has become a lot more professional. New faces with a lot of talent have joined fashion industry and working hard to achieve their goals.

Model Xille Huma, who is passionate about modeling, little bit sensitive and a very friendly person is on cloud 9 these days. Once you start talking to her, you don’t feel that she is the person who have met first time. Her dream of modeling came true when she was offered to do a shoot of designer Beena Amjad. She is confident and self-assured woman and very down to earth.  She has a true obsession for her profession.

In an interview with Sunday Plus , Xille talks about her career, modeling and her future ventures.

Did you always aspire to be a model?

 

Fashion world have always fascinated me. When I was in college, I always took part in fashion shows and my teacher always encouraged me as I have a good height. With the passage of time, my interest fashion and modeling becomes my passion. I did my first shoot with designer Beena Amjad and photographer Abdul qayyum.

 What’s the most enjoyable part of your career?

Travelling to different places is the most pleasant part of my work. I like to discover different places. This career has taken me to places beyond imagination, up the mountains and then posing for the perfect click in the hustle and bustle of the city life has given me self confidence.  

 

Tell us about your work philosophy?

No matter what you are going through work has to get done! Whatever field you choose to make your career you have to have passion and professionalism.

 

You have worked on so many projects as a model. Which is your most memorable project or experience?

It’s the Amsterdam Fashion Week

You recently did a small role in drama serial ‘LAA’, how was the experience of doing acting?

I think to face the camera you have to possess not only confidence but the right talent as well. LAA was a learning experience altogether for me and I would like to thank everyone of the crew from the visionary director to the helpful tea boys who kept our caffeine level to the max. 

Why did you move from modeling to acting? How did you polish your acting skills?

 Whatever form of art you choose, you are bound to challenge your abilities. Modeling was, is and will always be my first love. Acting to me came naturally. It was an opportunity that led me to explore the actor within me.

Did you face any difficulty while shooting? How was your collaboration with your co stars?

The showbiz industry is like a family. It was great to work with some of the well-established actors of our times. I am glad to be making my contributions to this field. Working with Sadia Khan was great, she is a doll.

Any memorable moment during shoot?

For me the whole shoot was memorable. Whatever little or great I learned from my seniors will be with me for many years to come. .

What do you believe is the key to success for a model? What qualities does one need to succeed?

Education, style sense, how you carry yourself, professionalism and last but not the least, to be a role model for others who look up to the industry.

The competition is stiff in the industry, which also leads to a certain amount of conflict and ego. Is it easy to make friends with the fellow female models? Do you have a best friend?

Oh I love working with my fellow models. We stay so well, be it on the sets or out and I think my best friend in the field would be all those girl n guys who are true to their profession as it is our bread and butter.

 How would you describe your personal style?

Bohemian, very carefree, casual.

 

Tell us your fitness secrets? Kindly explain your diet pattern

A good walk everyday and the only food that does the trick is home-made food, a big NO to junk food

 What's your fashion mantra?

To be at my best. I do however believe that mantras change over time.

 What is fun and rewarding about modeling?

Being recognized for your work, being the talk of the town in a positive manner is fun. Doing crazy shoots, going places is all linked to the modeling field and all this is rewarding in terms of exposure and meeting diverse people.

Who is your inspiration in life?

Vaneeza Ahmed will always be my inspiration.

Sensitive, caring and dominating.

How do you manage to create balance in your personal and professional life?

Though it’s hard to manage but I suppose you have to stay sane about it. Sane and sorted does the trick for me.

Where do you see yourself in next five years?

Nobody knows what tomorrow holds for us but I would want to be remembered and regarded for my professional approach.

 

From where do you generally shop?

I shop from anywhere and everywhere. I am not brand conscious.
