Islamabad - Butchers across the country and particularly in major cities have dropped a bombshell on the faithful, as they have raised the rates for different types of sacrificial animals.

Reports said that the butchers have been demanding Rs 3000 for goat and sheep, Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 for an ox or cow and not less than Rs 15000 for a camel’s sacrifice.

Some of the people told INP that while the rates are high, the butchers are not available for the first day of Eid as they claim that they have full booking for it. On the other hand, the butchers say that in the present day of inflation, it is difficult for them to feed their children and Eidul Azha is an occasion when they can earn some amount for their family members.
