OUR STAFF REPORTER SARGODHA - Federal Minister for Production Chaudhry Anwar Ali Cheema said that the government was making an all-out effort to steer the Pakistan Steel Mills out of crisis, terming it an asset. Addressing a ceremony held by the Sargodha Chamber of Commerce and Industry in his honour, the minister urged the business community to make it their top priority to boost business and industries and called businessmen backbone of a country. Cheema said that Prime Minister Gilani would pay a visit to Sargodha in the second week of January. He added that in his visit, the PM would meet with political and other dignities at Circuit House. He said that the prime minister would inaugurate the Medical College, Astro Turf hockey ground, Sui Gas regional office, besides, laying foundation stone of a Kidney Centre and Cardiology Hospital. He said that he would continue his efforts for the progress of the area, adding that the ongoing Rs 7 billion developmental projects were approved by him during the last government. Earlier, SCCI President Mazhar Ahmed, PIDC Director Iftkhar Ahmed, Hero Industry MD Iqbal, former president Sheikh Zahid Saeed, Federation of Chambers Vice-President Amir Atta Bajwa, Khawaja Abid Rafiq, and Fazalur Rehman also expressed their views on the occasion. A commemorative shield was presented to the federal minister by the SCCI president.
