LAHORE - Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has said no compromise on the sovereignty, security and integrity of the country can be made and the world must give due regard to this fact. The defence of country will be ensured at all costs, Gilani said during a meeting with Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar, who called on him Monday. They discussed the Bonn conference, statements of the world leaders, including that of US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and Afghan President Hamid Karzai. Gilani said Pakistan would do everything to safeguard its security and sovereignty. The PM, who has been in the provincial capital for the last three days, spent a busy day during which he also held meeting with party leaders and Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Chairman Asif Hashmi. He discussed with him different matters related to PPP in the province. He directed him to increase mass contacts after Ashura.
