ISLAMABAD - Capital Development Authority (CDA) came up with a campaign of water conservation in federal Capital, but the residents particularly of G sectors are still facing serious problems of water shortage.

The CDA campaign for water conservation in federal Capital included imposition of fine for water wastage, creating awareness among the public regarding water usage and effective monitoring of leakages of the City’s water supply.

The residents particularly of G-sectors 6-7- and 8 are facing with serious problems due to leakages of water supply lines. Residents of the locality said that CDA members pay no attention towards the problem as 40% to 50% of water flow in the streets which not only leads to water shortage, but the flow of water creates mess problems in the streets as well.

Residents of the locality said that this indifference and lack of concern of CDA would definitely leads to water shortage, while the Federal Capital is already faced with the problem.

In this regard Capital Development Authority (CDA) spokesman Ramzan Sajid told Online that we are trying our level best to replace the leaking pipelines and ascertain the cleanliness in Federal Capital. We have launched multiple campaigns in collaboration with different NGOs and local schools to cause awareness among the people regarding water conservation.
