LAHORE - Commissioner Lahore Division, Jawad Rafique Malik on Wednesday said that payments to the owners of lands acquired for Bus Rapid Transit System must be made speedily, through the establishment of One Window Operation offices at Qurtaba Chowk, Itchra and Shama Chowk.

In a meeting regarding payments and issues of B.R.T.S Malik said that Patwari’s, Naib Tehsildars and concerned revenue officers would sit in those site offices and address the complaints and issue “Fard” on the spot. Additional DG (LDA), Deputy Registrar, Additional Commissioner Revenue, AC (City) Saira Umar, Col (R) Younas Bharola, Revenue Officers also attended the meeting.  The Commissioner made it clear that in case of any complaint which was found right, the responsible official would be arrested and suspended. He said that all complaint cells with fully functional telephone numbers would be monitored by authorities.  Additional DG (LDA) said that payments were being made in respect of land cost, structure compensation, disturbances and shifting of business under set rules and regulation.

Islam teaches humanity: District Coordination Officer Noorul Amin Mengal, on Wednesday said that Islam teaches us humanity and to help the community. He expressed these views at the inaugural ceremony of dialysis machine at the dialysis center of Jinnah hospital. The DCO was accompanied by Gohar Ijaz senior member of APTMA, Dr Khalid, Dr Nouman, Dr Nadeem, Dr Shoaib and others. The DCO appreciated the role of Ijaz Trust in the field of kidney and dialysis as it had provided 12 dialysis machines for kidney patients on which 57 thousands dialysis had been conducted in seven years.

Gohar Ijaz senior member of APTMA told the DCO that as many as 20 dialysis machines would be provided during the next year. He appealed to the philoutherapists to come forward and cooperate with Ijaz Trust to help out needy patients.

He also assured the trust members that City District Government would help financially as well. He revealed that Punjab Government had been taking serious interest in the health section. Earlier Noorul Amin Mengal inaugurated the new dialysis machine and met kidney patients individually. The DCO distributed cash prises amongst the dialysis center staff.
