According to details, Special Judge Central (SJC) Iftikhar Ali rejected the bail application of SSP (Retd) Pakistan Railways Javaid Khan after which Railway police handcuffed the SSP from outside the courtroom. Javaid Khah has been facing departmental action since he appointed eight constables and promoted one of his relatives from Head Constable to Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) in violation of relevant rules and regulations in 2009.

Three different FIRs were registered against him and the department proceeded against him only after he got retired last year. SSP (Retd) Javed Khan, who appeared in the court with his Advocate Sheikh Ahsan-ud-Din, stated before the SJC that he had nothing to do with the cases and some senior officers of Pakistan Railways were roping him in the crimes he never committed. He said that the senior officers were unfavorable to him during his service. Former SSP said he made all appointments following rules and regulations and the constables that were removed had gone to Federal Services Tribunal to get reinstated.

Advocate Sheikh Ahsan-ud-Din, during arguments, said that his client was being victimised by a serving Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Railway police for some personal reasons.

He said that under the law only Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has the power to probe any such matters involving the wrongdoings by any bureaucrat but in the case of Javaid Khan, Pakistan Railway police was prosecuting its former officer.

After conclusion of the arguments, SJC rejected the bail plea of former SSP and Railway Police arrested him from outside the courtroom.
