BAHAWALPUR - The Bahawalpur Division commissioner has directed the education officials to conduct a survey for the enrollment of children in schools in collaboration with the revenue officials to ensure 100 percent literacy rate.

He further directed that education facilities should be provided across Cholistan and handicrafts be promoted. Muhammad Khan Khichi said that the Punjab chief minister had prepared a road map for the promotion of education and would introduce a proper system to ensure standard education in the public sector schools. He said that education officials should get into field and ensure regular checking of the schools.

He said that the education officials should work honestly to improve quality of education for bright future of the country. The commissioner also sought suggestions for improvement and welfare of Cholistan people. He said that Cholistani skilled women's handicrafts are very beautiful but they are not given appropriate wages for their products.

Meanwhile, he directed the health officials to improve vaccination system to protect the people from diseases.
