LAHORE – Two men, who had been killed in a shootout in Shahdara, were identified as hardcore criminals.

Police named the bandits as Muhammad Hussain and Sarwar, residents of Hujra Shah Muqeem, Okara, had committed robbery at the fishfarm owned by the Sharif family in Raiwind.  According to the police, they had also killed an ex-serviceman and two policemen in robberies. Sources revealed that both the robbers were in custody for the last several days. The police kept them at a private torture cell and later took them to Shahdara, where the encounter was staged.
