LAKKI MARWAT - Expressing displeasure over the poor state of cleanliness conditions in government departments’ offices, PML-Q MNA Humayun Saifullah Khan has called upon the authorities of district administration and heads of nation-building departments to improve the situation and utilize funds meant for repair and maintenance of government buildings.

After paying an inspection visit to several offices in district headquarters complex Tajazai on Wednesday, he told local journalists that the buildings for government departments offices had been built by spending a huge chunk of funds from national kitty during his tenure as district nazim.

“To bring all offices under an umbrella was meant to improve service delivery and enable people to carry out their routine works without facing any difficulty”, he maintained. The lawmaker said that poor service delivery to the residents of district was evident from the lethargic  behaviour of government officials as they lacked interest to keep offices and their surroundings in unhygienic condition.

“The authorities concerned should ensure utilisation of M & R funds on renovation and whitewashing of government buildings and carrying  petty repair works in them”, he told.  He also asked directed quarters concerned to improve sanitation system in the district headquarters complex and ensure availability of water in washrooms and latrines.

He also went to the Pesco offices where he expressed his deep condolence with executive engineer Jamalud Din over the demise of his brother.
