KARACHI  - Sindh is a land of the Sufis who fostered the message of love, amity and friendship. This was stated by the Special Assistant to the Sindh Chief Minister, Sharmila Faruqui. She was speaking as chief guest at the Muhammad Ali Jinnah University on the occasion of the Culture Day pertaining to Sindhi Cap and Ajrak.Sharmila said that holding of such programmes help to create awareness regarding the culture. She pointed out that Sindh has an ancient civilization and that there is a need to introduce it at international level as well.Sharmila said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) believes in democracy and is committed for the promotion of culture and civilizations.The Vice-Chancellor of Muhammad Ali Jinnah University, Prof Dr Abdul Wahab, said that the marking of the culture day was aimed at fostering the spirit of love, amity and brotherhood.
