BAHAWALPUR - Islamia University of Bahawalpur Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Mukhtar has said that Bahawalpur region will always be proud of legendary players like Hockey Olympian Mutiullah Khan, who illuminated the name of the country in the world through their excellent performance.

He said that the youngsters might seek inspiration from them to emulate their feats.

He expressed these views during inquired after hockey wizard, admitted to Bahawal Victoria Hospital after a heart attack. 

He inquired about his health. He prayed for the early recovery of the veteran stalwart and paid rich tributes to Hockey Olympian Mutiullah Khan who represented Pakistan in three consecutive Olympics in 1956, 1960 and 1964 respectively.

Mutiullah Khan played a vital role for clinching first ever Olympics Gold Medal at Rome Olympics in 1960 and silver medals at 1956 Melbourne Olympics and 1964 Tokyo Olympics respectively.
