Federal Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan said the female attacker involved in the recent California shooting, Tashfeen Malik, and her family left Pakistan 25 years ago, Waqt News reported. “They migrated to Saudi Arabia from where she went to the US after marriage,” he added.

While addressing a press conference Nisar said that Pakistan does not have any link to the California female shooter. “We will assist US under international law if needed,” he added. “No American delegation has met either PM or CM Punjab in UK regarding this issue,” he added.

“Islam is being defamed in the West. The actions of an individual should not be used to paint a community or religion,” the minister said. “Islam teaches peace and harmony.

" While giving a briefing about the Imran Farooq Murder case Nisar stated that Pakistani government is not involved in registering the FIR against Altaf Hussain. “PM and I did not read the JIT report. The government only gave permission to file an FIR,” he claimed. “This case is unique in the sense that all the planning was conducted in Pakistan while the incident happened in UK,” he added.

Nisar told the press that this case will only be solved through cooperation between Scotland Yard and Pakistani authorities. “We gave them access to arrested individuals involved in the case,” he stated. “We will do whatever it takes to solve the murder cases of Pakistanis."

On the issue of deported citizens he said the government has talked with EU commissioner when she came to Pakistan. “We told her about our apprehensions and she agreed with all of them,” he said. “We told her that Pakistan is being defamed by other nationalities,” he added.

“Last month we received a call from the Greek government that they will send around 80 deported Pakistanis back to the country, “ he told the press. “We accepted but on November 25, Interior Ministry wrote to them that Pakistan will only accept verified individuals," he claimed.

“Despite that Greek authorities sent those people because of which the stand-off came about between the two states,” he said.”We will raise this issue further as it is tarnishing Pakistan's name."
