KARACHI  - Acting Sindh Governor Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise of Dr Muhammad Ali Shah, Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister on Sports.

Dr Shah was a prominent orthopaedics surgeon and great lover of cricket.

Khuhro recalled the immense services rendered by Dr Shah for the sports, especially for the promotion of cricket. He said his contributions in this regard would always be remembered. He further said through the establishment of Asghar Ali Shah Stadium, Dr Shah encouraged young and upcoming cricketers.

Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah has expressed deep grief over the death of Adviser on Sports Dr Muhammad Ali Shah.

In his condolence message, the chief minister said Dr Shah was a gentleman and played an important role in the promotion of sports.

He said Dr Shah, who was an orthopedic surgeon by profession, constructed an excellent playground in Nazimabad area of Karachi in the memory of his father. Dr Shah also played his role for building playgrounds in the interior of Sindh, he added.

The Chief Minister said the credit for organising various international level’s sports events in Karachi goes to Dr Shah.

He said Dr Shah’s demise has created a vacuum in the field of sports and it would be difficult to fill this gap. Qaim expressed condolences with the bereaved family.

Meanwhile, Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has expressed sorrow over the demise of Dr Muhammad Ali Shah.

In a statement, he said Dr Shah as an orthopedic surgeon served poor and destitute people. He further said Dr Shah’s services in the field of sports will always be remembered. He described Dr Shah’s death a tragedy for the country.

In a separate statement, Sindh Chief Minister’s Senior Special Assistant Rashid Hussain Rabbani and Special Assistant Waqar Mehdi expressed grief over the death of former provincial sports minister Dr Shah. They expressed sympathies with the bereaved family.

MQM COORDINATION COMMITTEE CONDOLES: The Coordination Committee of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement has expressed sorrow over the death of Dr Shah, renowned orthopaedic surgeon and Haq Parast Provincial Adviser. In a condolence message, the committee paying homage to Dr Shah said he worked for promotion of sports.

The committee members expressed that Dr Shah’s death is not only a big loss to the MQM but it is also a great loss to the entire nation.

SPORTS COMMUNITY CONDOLE: Pakistan Cricket Board, Pakistan Hockey Federation, Pakistan Olympic Association, Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), Pakistan Sports Writer Federation, Sports Journalists Association of Lahore, SWAP, SJAS, other sports bodies, officials and the entire sports community have condoled the death of Special Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister on Sports Dr Muhammad Ali Shah.  They prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.

PMA CONDOLES: Leaders of various doctors’ community have condoled over the demise of the renowned Orthopaedic Surgeon and the advisor to the Chief Minister of Sindh, Dr Muhammad Ali Shah, and declared the demise as the national loss that cannot be repaired.

A meeting of office-bearers of Pakistan Medical Association (Centre) and Pakistan Medical Association (Karachi) including the Senior Executive Members, Dr Tipu, Dr Mirza, Dr Qaisar, Dr Idrees, Dr Qazi, Dr Shaukat, Dr Serajuddula and Dr Aziz, was held on Tuesday at the PMA house, Karachi to condole the demise of Dr Shah. The participants of the meeting eulogised and admired his services for doctors community, sports activities and being very instrumental for the adoption of Health Commission Bill of PMA by Sindh Assembly. His love for sports especially for cricket was known to everyone. He created a soft image of the country all over the world. He was a member of Executive Committee of PMA Karachi and was always willing to take the issues of the doctors to highest level and help to resolve them as soon as possible.  PMA has lost a dedicated member of the community and the vacuum created by his death will be difficult to fill. We pray that his soul rest in peace and his family get the strength to bear this irreparable loss.

On the other hand, College of Family Medicine Pakistan & Sindh Private Hospital & Clinics & Welfare Association condolence the death of Prof. Muhammad Ali Shah, Advisor to Sports, Chief Minister, Government of Sindh. Besides being an orthopedic surgeon he was also associated with various welfare activities and keen interest for sports promotion activities all over Sindh especially for school, college and universities. He also paid important role for resolution of international cricket in Pakistan.
