PESHAWAR - Workers of the Jamat ud Dawa on Tuesday held a protest demonstration in connection with marking the ‘Kashmir Solidarity Day’ and against the Indian atrocities in Occupied Kashmir, here in front of the Peshawar Press Club.

In a telephonic address to Jamatud-Dawa workers, Chairman All Parties Huriyat Conference, Syed Ali Shah Gillani, said that the core issue of Kashmir will not be resolved after giving the MFN status to India. He added that it was the duty of Pakistan to continue the diplomatic, moral and political support of Kashmiri people at every level.

The Huriyat Conference leader further said that the Indian forces had occupied the Jammu Kashmir since 1947, and had been committing atrocities upon the innocent people. He called to resolve the core issue of Kashmir as per the UN resolutions and wishes of the Kashmiri people. Gillani also urged upon the masses of Pakistan, religious organization, political and religious forces to unite for the self-determination of Kashmiri people.

The Jamat ud Dawa rally was led by its provincial leader Maulana Abu-Abdullah, Hafiz Abu-Muavia and Abu-Muhammad . The demonstrators were holding their party flags, placards and banners inscribed with slogans in favour of the independence of Kashmiri people and against the Indian security forces’ atrocities.
