PESHAWAR - Former chief minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter President, Pir Sabir Shah, has said that his party will make alliance and seat adjustment with other political parties before general elections, but yet to be decided.

Addressing a news conference here at the Press Club on Tuesday, the PML-N president said that his party had played friendship position role both at parliament and provincial assembly. “It was a great omen that a democratically elected government would complete its five years constitutional period,” Shah remarked.

Flanked by woman MPA Saeeda Batool Nasir, who on the occasion announced to join PML-Nawaz, Sabir said that PML-N had always foiled attempts to derail democracy by various tactics in the country. The PPP-led coalition government didn’t take benefit from the PML-N friendly position stance, he observed.

He criticised the incumbent coalition government for its failure to address key issue of energy, unemployment, and price hike in the country. “No serious efforts were made to overcome miseries of masses over the past five years,” he maintained.

He said that the country is being confronted with severe economic challenges, while industries growth slows down in the country. He further said the incumbent rulers have broken all records of corruption, and looted national kitty with both hands.

Owing to poor law and order situation, the PML-N provincial chief said the foreign investment has been adversely declined, whereas the existing industries were shifted to other countries in wake of energy and gas shortages. Commenting on the Karachi and Bolachistan situation, he said that the government had failed to expose hidden forces behind the killing of innocent people.

The situation is going from bad to worst from each passing day in the country, he added. He further said the PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif is only hope for the people of the country. He said his party is fully capable to steer the country out from the prevailing crisis situation.

Welcoming the joining PML-N of a woman MPA in KP assembly, he said that the joining of political leaders and activists of his party has reflected the people-friendly policies of his party.

Earlier, speaking on occasion, Saeeda Batool formally announced to join PML-N. She said that she has been impressed by the leadership of Nawaz Sharif, who took practical steps for welfare of masses. She further said that the PML-N is the only political party, which does not comprise on principles and opposes policies of the incumbent government. She said that PML-N has played an important for upholding the democratic norms as major opposition party in parliament.
