KARACHI – Police booked a son of PPP member national assembly, Sher Muhammad Baloch for allegedly thrashing the PIA officer at Karachi airport.

According to details, MNA’s son namely Nauroze Muhammad Baloch was arrested for allegedly thrashing and injuring the officer of Pakistan International Airline within the premises of the Jinnah International Airport.

The case against MNA’s son was also registered at the Airport police station while further investigation was underway. Police had registered the case on behalf of PIA’s reservation officer Allah Dino Jatoi.

The office of reservation was also closed by PIA staff in protest against the incident for at least an hour and resumed the activities when senior PIA and airport officials convinced and assured them of action against the accused.

Police said that the case was registered on the complaint of PIA officer and further investigation was underway. PIA officer had claimed that the accused first misbehaved with him and later beaten him.

ARRESTED: Law-enforcement agency claimed to have arrested over a dozen suspects who were taken into custody during separate raids in different parts of the City on Tuesday.

According to details, rangers and police conducted raid on a tip-off against the criminals and managed to arrest about 13 suspects from Clifton’s Shah Rasool Colony and Neelum Colony.

LEA cordoned off the entry locality and not allowed people to get inside or out during the operation that lasted for at least two hours.

They said that during door-to-door search operation, police apprehended about 13 suspects and shifted them to undisclosed location for further questioning. Police officials also claimed to have recovered weapons from the possession of few suspects but they did not disclose their affiliation with any group.

Similarly, another operation was carried out on Hub River Road from where Rangers and police have detained at least three suspects and shifted them to undisclosed location for further interrogation. Police officials also claimed to have recovered weapons and narcotics from their possession.

The suspects belong to the drug mafia and police have been looking for them in several criminal cases.
